About the Club
The Belgian Club Victoria is a non-profit organisation set up and led by Belgians living in Victoria. The BCV was founded in 2009 and today's committee continues to thrive for the following mission:
The Belgian Club of Victoria aims to celebrate and promote Belgian culture in Victoria and bring Belgian people together. Furthermore, we want to provide new migrants support in their integration process. Our values can be summarised in three key values: Promote - Connect - Support Promote and celebrate Belgian Culture Connect both Belgians and Victorians together Provide support to new migrants |
Committee members
To ensure the key values of the organisation are respected, a group of people is actively involved. These four people below try to meet regularly to keep things running, but there are a lot more individuals behind the scenes who are helping to make things happen. We are always happy to welcome people, whether you just want to attend events or help a hand out- feel free to contact us via the contact form
This is Dirk. Selfemployed and living in the SE suburbs of Victoria for nearly 15 years, but always proud of his Belgian roots. He loves his (Belgian) food and beer and is since many years active in the organisation. |
Meet Dries. Dries came to Australia for a professional challenge and fell in love with the laid back Australian lifestyle. As a big fan of surfing, Dries and his family love living in the vibrant city of Melbourne with plenty of beaches around. |
Tom has been in Australia since 2004 and enjoys everything multicultural Melbourne has to offer. Tom is a business owner, beer lover, sports fanatic and loves the innovative vibes of Melbourne. |
And then there is the rather 'odd man out'. Despite her Dutch roots, Lian has 'Belgianized' during the past 10 years working and living in Belgium. End of 2017 she moved to Melbourne, where she enjoys exploring the Victoria surroundings during camping trips. |
