​With the borders finally open again heaps of people in the community have been traveling (back) to Belgium recently and also new arrivals are in town again. An interesting mix of Victorians with deep ties in the land of beers, chocolate and Wout Van Aert. Lets get all together to celebrate the Belgian National Day and keep the spirit of our special Belgian community alive! Hope to see you there!

The Belgian Summer Vibes party has been a long time coming. The first version back in 2019 was a massive hit with our very own  Belgian DJ Jarne who knew how to make us dance to the electronic beats reminiscent of the raving 90's of to classic singalongs like Marie Louise.

Now it's time to prove that we haven't forgotten how it's done. It had to be rescheduled a few times thanks to our bud Delta, but boy are we ready now!

The Belgian Club Victoria (BCV) in conjunction with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce Australia (NCCA) and Belgian Beers Australia proudly invites you to its first event of 2021.
On Friday March 26th at 7pm we are organising a true Belgian Beer Tasting where we have been able to attract one of the top Belgian beer brewers: Van Steenberge.

Van Steenberge is known as the brewer of real classics such as Gulden Draak, Augustijn, Piraat, Bornem,…

During the event, you will not only be able to taste a selection of five beers, but we will also be accompanied online by the 6th generation Master Brewer and CEO Jef Versele. Jef will tell us more about the brewery`s rich history, the brewing process and some interesting beer trivia.

Before and after the event we will have several Van Steenberge beers on offer, including the multi-award winning Gulden Draak, served in the famous dragon egg glass tapped from its original tap. An Australian first!

Afterwards participants will also have the chance to buy or pre-order any 6-pack or carton of beers on offer at discounted prices AND will go in the draw to win not only a tasting pack but also a bottle of the exclusive Gulden Draak Brewmasters Edition !

A ticket costs $50/person and includes a Baptist beer upon arrival, five selected beer tasters, matching cheeses and entry into the raffle to win a tasting pack or the bottle of exclusive Gulden Draak Brewmaster edition (more raffles tickets available for purchase at the venue).

As we all have been very, very, very good this year, the Holy Man set sail to Victoria to join us at a Covid Safe Sinterklaas/St Nicolas family picnic.
We're still working out the details and will update you shortly but please mark 05/12 already in your calendar to celebrate this traditional family event with the Belgian Community in Victoria.
